McDan’s Nuggets to Young Men: Marry Woman “Who Knows Book”

Businessman and philanthropist Daniel McKorley, popularly known as McDan, has advised unmarried men to prioritise intelligence, education and personal growth over physical beauty when choosing a life partner, arguing that “marrying a woman who knows book” is key to building a stable and successful family.
In a message addressed to young men, McDan emphasised that being educated goes beyond academic qualifications, insisting that what truly matters is marrying a woman who is exposed, emotionally intelligent, willing to learn and capable of contributing meaningfully to family life.

“To the unmarried man reading this, pull up a chair. We need to have an honest conversation. Ladies, bear with me for a minute. I’ll come back to you.
“I want to talk to you about the importance of ‘marrying a woman who knows book.’
“You see, when people say, ‘marry a woman that knows book,’ they are not only talking about certificates. They are talking about a woman who is exposed, informed, emotionally intelligent, and mentally developed. Education here means awareness, understanding, compassion, and the ability to think beyond the surface.”
He explained that such a woman is a partner with whom a man can reason, plan and make sound decisions, adding that, “Marriage becomes teamwork, not dependency.”
McDan further noted that an educated and thoughtful woman plays a critical role in raising confident and responsible children while helping families navigate difficult seasons through creativity, resilience and practical support.
“What truly matters is a woman who is willing to learn, improve herself, think deeply, and build something meaningful with you. That is the real blessing.”
He cautioned young men against choosing partners based solely on physical appearance or excitement.
“So, when you choose a partner, do not only look at beauty, curves, vibes, or fun. Look at her mind. Look at her curiosity. Look at her hunger for knowledge. Beauty fades. Intelligence guides.
“Marry a woman who knows book, and both of you will build a future that makes sense.”
