Retain to Recapture: Kente Seeks Re-Election as NPP Youth Organiser for Ayawaso West Wuogon

The incumbent Youth Organiser for Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Peter Danso Kente, has declared his intention to seek re-election, promising to build on his record and strengthen the party’s youth front ahead of future electoral contests.
Running on the campaign theme “Retain to Recapture,” Kente is positioning his bid as a continuity agenda focused on grassroots mobilisation, party discipline and youth empowerment.
His campaign message, anchored on the slogans “The Youth Matter” and “The Move To Do For You,” underscores what he describes as the need to retain experienced leadership within the youth wing to support the party’s rebuilding efforts in the constituency.
Kente says his decision to seek another mandate is rooted in the belief that continuity in leadership will help sustain the gains made within the youth wing while energising the grassroots for the task ahead.

Campaign materials promoting his bid highlight loyalty, discipline, hard work and experience as the pillars of his leadership message, with the re-election campaign framed around consolidating the party’s structures and advancing a “recapture” agenda in the constituency.
His bid comes at a time the NPP is undertaking internal elections across its structures as part of efforts to reorganise and strengthen the party from the grassroots to the national level.
The internal elections are expected to elect officers at various levels of the party as a critical to reposition the NPP ahead of future national contests.
In Ayawaso West Wuogon, Kente’s re-election campaign is expected to focus heavily on his stewardship as Youth Organiser, his engagement with party youth and his vision for sustaining mobilisation within one of the party’s key constituencies.
Supporters say the “Retain to Recapture” message reflects a call for continuity and stability in the youth wing while rallying delegates around a broader political objective of strengthening the party’s prospects in the constituency.
For Kente, the campaign is not only about retaining office, but about using the youth wing as a vehicle for party renewal, organisation and electoral readiness.
With the constituency preparing for the internal polls, his bid is shaping up around a central argument — retaining tested leadership to help drive the NPP’s rebuilding efforts and position Ayawaso West Wuogon strongly to recapture power in the 2028 general elections.
