The National Coordinator of the District Roads Improvement Programme (DRIP), Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye, has assured the public of his office’s readiness to collaborate with the various Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) and assemblies to ensure the effective utilization of road maintenance equipment across the country.

He emphasized that his office is committed to the maintenance and rehabilitation of deteriorating roads in districts nationwide.
Hon. Vanderpuye gave this assurance during a familiarization tour of road conditions in several districts within the Greater Accra Region on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.
As part of the tour, the National DRIP Coordinator visited areas including the Ga South and Ga Central municipalities, responding to concerns raised by residents about the poor state of their roads.
At Ga Central, he expressed dismay over the deplorable road network and promised to work closely with the new District Chief Executive and the assembly to deploy the DRIP machines in order to address the issue promptly.
“I can’t believe these roads are in Accra, within the Greater Accra Region. This is unacceptable, and we will reset it soon,” Hon. Vanderpuye assured residents.
