An educationist and a tutor at the Jasikan College of Education, Tsyawo Johnson, is tipped to emerge as the next Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Buem Constituency, with effective communication, party unity and sustained grassroots mobilisation at the heart of his agenda.
Mr Johnson, who is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Ghana, is contesting the position against Adzadu Eric Kwasi Dickson in the ongoing constituency elections at Buemam Senior High School in Jasikan.
His proposed priorities centre on strengthening the party’s internal communication, promoting unity among members and building a more effective grassroots mobilisation structure to secure sustainable electoral victories.
Mr Johnson has pledged to ensure that every branch and delegate remains informed, connected and actively engaged in party activities, stressing the importance of effective communication in coordinating the party’s structures and keeping members aligned with its objectives.
He has also identified party unity as a key priority, promising to bring members together around a common goal and foster stronger collaboration across the constituency.
On mobilisation, the educationist intends to promote continuous grassroots engagement, training and empowerment to equip party members with the knowledge and organisational capacity needed for future electoral contests.
His vision places emphasis on building a cohesive and well-organised constituency party through sustained mobilisation, capacity development and greater participation by members at all levels.
Mr Johnson’s background rich background in grassroot mobilisation and public services positions him to better serve the interestof the NDC at this time in the Buem Constituency.
He previously served as the Jasikan District Chairman of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), during which he advocated peaceful resolution of the Nkonya–Alavanyo conflict and initiatives to protect teaching and learning.
The Buem Constituency elections are part of the NDC’s internal exercise to elect executives who will steer the party’s affairs and strengthen its organisational structures at the grassroots level.
Voting is ongoing at Buemam Senior High School in Jasikan, with Mr Johnson and Mr Dickson competing for the secretary position. The winner will be responsible for coordinating key constituency-level administrative and communication activities in support of the party’s organisational and electoral objectives.
