The elections were held at the just-ended 6th Annual Summit of the NDC ProForum, held from April 17 to 18, 2026, in Accra, under the theme: “Strengthening the Reset Agenda for Continuous Economic Growth; The Role of the NDC Professionals Forum.”
The elections recorded a total of 636 votes cast out of 1,385 eligible voters, representing a turnout of 45.92 percent. The exercise renewed leadership across key positions and signaled a strong mandate for a team widely seen as capable of repositioning the Forum within the party’s broader policy and governance architecture.

“This victory belongs to all of us who believe in the strength, the purpose, and the future of ProForum,” she said, committing to building a professional body that serves its members, supports the party, and contributes meaningfully to national development.
She paid tribute to the late former global president of the Forum, Ambassador Sam Pee Yalley and called for unity as the organization transitions into a new phase.

Outlining her vision, the new Global President emphasized improving member welfare, expanding professional development opportunities, and strengthening mentorship, particularly for young professionals within the party. She also highlighted plans to deepen inclusivity by activating regional and diaspora chapters to enhance global coordination.
Prof. Browne Klutse further indicated that her administration would position the ProForum as a leading policy and ideas hub within the NDC, with structured working groups across sectors such as governance, the economy, education, health, agriculture, and technology.
“We must raise the level of thinking and conversation within the group and bring quality ideas to the table,” she urged.
She also underscored the Forum’s role in supporting the party’s electoral fortunes through research, strategic communication, and grassroots engagement, while committing to transparency, accountability, and collective leadership.
Background
The NDC Professionals Forum is the professional wing of the National Democratic Congress, bringing together experts and practitioners from diverse fields to contribute to policy development, governance discourse, and the party’s strategic direction. Established to harness intellectual capital within the party, the Forum plays a key role in shaping ideas, mentoring emerging professionals, and supporting national development initiatives aligned with the NDC’s vision.

Its membership cuts across the sixteen regions of the country and in the diaspora.
With a renewed leadership team in place, expectations are high that the Forum will deepen its influence both within the party and Ghana’s broader socio-economic policy landscape.
