Prof. Frimpong-Boateng to Deliver 14th J.E.A. Mills Commemorative Lecture

Renowned cardiothoracic surgeon and former Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, Professor Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng, is expected to deliver the 14th John Evans Atta Mills Commemorative Lecture in honour of Ghana’s late President, Professor John Evans Atta Mills.
The annual memorial lecture, organised by the J.E.A. Mills Memorial Heritage, is scheduled for Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Auditorium of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) in Madina.
The event is expected to bring together political leaders, academics, diplomats, students, civil society organisations and members of the public to reflect on the enduring legacy of the late President, whose leadership was widely associated with peace, integrity, democratic governance and national unity.
Former Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Hon. Hanna Serwaa Tetteh, currently serving as the United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Libya (UNSMIL), will chair the commemorative lecture.
The annual lecture serves as a platform to celebrate the life, values and contributions of the late President John Evans Atta Mills while promoting dialogue on issues of national development, leadership and good governance.
