The Member of Parliament for Bortianor-Ngleshie Amanfro, Felix Akwetey Okle, has been honoured by Humanity Intellectual Academy for what the school described as his selfless leadership and commitment to the wellbeing of constituents.

The recognition was presented during an educational visit by pupils and staff of the Academy to Parliament House in Accra on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
The school presented the MP with an International Humanity Award in acknowledgement of his dedication to public service, leadership and community development within the constituency.
The award citation praised Mr. Okle for his contributions toward healthcare, education, infrastructure development, job creation and social equity, noting that his leadership continues to impact lives across the constituency.
In an interaction with the learners, Hon Okle encouraged them to aspire for greater heights by taking their studies seriously and be obedient to their parents and teachers.
The visit to Parliament formed part of the academy’s civic education aimed at giving students practical exposure to Ghana’s democratic governance system and inspiring interest in leadership and public service.

During the visit, the pupils observed proceedings on the floor of the House and witnessed Finance Minister, Dr Cassiel Ato Baah Forson presenting and explaining four statutory reports for 2025 before the House, offering them first-hand insight into parliamentary accountability and legislative procedures.
Parliamentary staff also engaged the students in interactive sessions on the roles of Members of Parliament and the law-making process.
Management of Humanity Intellectual Academy said the visit was intended to bridge classroom learning with practical national experience.
The recognition of Mr. Okle, according to the academy, was also meant to encourage public officials who demonstrate commitment to the welfare and development of their communities.
