The Constitutional Review Committee (CRC) will on Monday, November 24, formally present its report to President John Dramani Mahama at the Presidency in Accra.
The eight-member committee, chaired by Professor H. Kwasi Prempeh, Executive Director of the Ghana Centre for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana), was inaugurated by President Mahama to lead the review of the 1992 Constitution.
According to the Presidency, the presentation ceremony is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at the Jubilee House.
The Committee’s members include Justice Sophia Adinyira, a former Justice of the Supreme Court; Professor Kwame Karikari; Mrs. Charlotte Osei; Dr. Godwin Djokoto; Ibrahim Tanko Amidu; Dr. Esi Ansah; and Dr. Rainer Akumperigeya.
Inaugurated on January 30, the Committee was initially expected to submit its report in August. However, due to the extensive nature of the work, it sought and was granted a three-month extension to complete its assignment.
