GREPA Launches 2022 Africa Real Estate Conference & Expo With Focus On Partnership

The Ghana Real Estate Professionals  Association (GREPA) has launched its second edition of the Africa Real Estate Conference and Expo (ARCE) 2022 in Accra with a call for partnership among all stakeholders in the real estate industry for the attainment of the sustainable development goals.

The founder of GREPA, Madam Victoria Osei Sampah emphasized the critical role of the real estate industry in creating an all-inclusive, healthy and safer plant for all hence the urgent need for stronger partnership among stakeholders whiles embracing new trends for the growth and development of the sector.

Vicky as she is popularly known was speaking at the launch of the 2022 conference and expo scheduled for September this year said, the event will provide a platform for experience sharing, embracing new technologies, access finance and promote good governance in order to ensure a sustainable green built environment for the future.

Chairman of the 2022 ARCE planning committee, Mr Emmanuel M.Tawiah said the event seeks to among others develop a real estate industry in Ghana and Africa through good policy advocacy, collaboration, sustainability, the adoption of new technologies in housing and infrastructure developments.

The forum will also afford professional stakeholders in the real estate sector to ensure improve regulations and adherence to code of ethics by professional and provide the platform for enhanced networking among the stakeholders through various sessions to help sanitise the industry.

Stakeholders including Real Estate developers, brokers and agents, lawyers, architects, surveyors, manufacturers such as steel production companies, plumbing materials, electrical manufacturers among others will partake in the event.

Qualified and certified Local and International speakers will address relevant topics for the growth and development of the real estate industry in Ghana and the entire continent.

According to Mr Emmanuel Tawiah, the conference and expo will have sessions for trainings before and during the event where qualified professionals would be awarded Certified International Professional Specialist (CIPS) certificates by National Association Realtors (NAR), NAR Green Certification and Certified Property Manager (CPM) by the Institute of Real Estate Management, (IREM).

An awards night will also be held where deserving individuals and companies who have helped in the development of the industry would be celebrated and recognized.

President of GREPA, Ms Edette N.Kumi called on government to ensure strict implementation of regulations concerning ethics by professionals and players in the real estate industry.

She also appeal to all professionals relating to the real estate sector to identify with professional bodies such as GREPA for good of their collective interests.

GREPA has since its establishment in 2011 has championed the professional development of its members, building cooperation, promoting and maintaining high professional standards in all Real Estate transactions in accordance with the codes of ethics of the association.

The 2022 Conference and Expo which is on the theme: “The Role of Real Estate and Infrastructure in Achieving Sustainable Goals and Finance” is being organised by GREPA in partnership with Obri properties, Certified International Property Specialists (CIPS), National Association of Realtors, Institute of Real Estate Management, GHACEM among others.

Over 3000 participants are expected to attend the conference and expo in person and online, over 200 local and international companies are also expected to participate whiles some 100 renowned professionals and investors across the globe will be present at this year’s event which will take place at the Labadi Beach Hotel from 12 -16th September 2022.

The five days event which was officially launched by Bishop Eric Kwapong will end with an awards night to recognise the contribution of those who have helped jn diverse ways for the development of the real estate sector in Ghana and Africa.

The first edition of the ACRE conference held last year, 2021 was held on the theme: “Opportunity to innovate and optimize”.
