Ghana’s Ambassador to France, Mavis Ama Frimpong, has hosted a seven-member parliamentary delegation at the Ghanaian Chancery in Paris, describing the visit as timely and crucial to advancing Ghana’s development agenda on the global stage.
The delegation, which was in France to participate in the 9th edition of the ChangeNOW Summit 2026, paid a courtesy call on the Ambassador and her team as part of its official engagements in the French capital.

Welcoming the team, Ambassador Frimpong expressed appreciation for the visit, noting that such interactions deepen collaboration between Ghana’s diplomatic missions and Parliament.
“On behalf of the government of Ghana in France, we want to thank you for coming to share with us. These engagements create the opportunity for deeper discussions that will ultimately benefit our country,” she said.
She emphasised that the Embassy remains committed to safeguarding Ghana’s interests and supporting initiatives that drive national development.
“For us as a mission, we hold the interest of our country in trust. Anything that pushes Ghana’s development forward is of utmost importance to us,” she added.

The Ambassador also commended the delegation for participating in the global summit, which brought together policymakers, investors, and innovators to discuss climate solutions and sustainable development.
The parliamentary delegation led by Chairman of Parliament’s Environment, Science and Technology Committee, Yaw Frimpong Addo also includes Ranking Member, Prof Hamza Adam and Deputy Clerk in-charge of Legislative Management Services, Camillo Pwamang.
The rest include Director of Media Relations, David Sebastian Damoah; Deputy Director for Parliamentary Relations and Diplomacy, Faustina Opokua Ayim; and senior members of the Parliamentary Press Corps, Kofi Don Agor and Christian Kpesese.

Ambassador Frimpong noted that the delegation’s presence in Paris reflects Ghana’s growing commitment to engaging international partners and adopting global best practices to address national challenges.
She assured the delegation of the Embassy’s readiness to collaborate closely with Parliament to advance Ghana’s diplomatic and development priorities.
The three-day ChangeNOW Summit 2026, held from March 30 to April 1, 2026, at the iconic glass Grand Palais in Paris, brought together a broad coalition of global stakeholders advancing solutions to the world’s most pressing environmental challenges.
