Christmas Cheer in Ablekuma North as Ewurabena Aubynn Spreads Joy With Residents

The Member of Parliament for Ablekuma North, Ewurabena Aubynn, has extended a Christmas goodwill gesture to residents of the constituency, donating assorted food items to support vulnerable households during the festive season.

The donation, made as part of activities marking the Christmas celebration, included bags of rice, cooking oil, tins of fish, milk, Milo, sugar and other essential food items. Beneficiaries included widows, persons with disabilities (PWDs), orphans, the elderly, low-income families and constituents in general.

Presenting the items, Madam Aubynn said the gesture was aimed at sharing in the joy of the season and easing the financial burden many families face during the Christmas period. She noted that Christmas offers an opportunity to demonstrate compassion and solidarity, particularly with vulnerable members of society.

Community leaders who received the items on behalf of beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the lawmaker, describing the support as timely and reflective of the true spirit of Christmas. Some beneficiaries also commended the MP for remaining accessible and responsive to the needs of her constituents beyond her legislative responsibilities.

The Christmas donation comes shortly after Madam Aubynn launched the Ablekuma North Sports Union (ANSU), an initiative designed to identify, develop and nurture sporting talents within the constituency.

The sports union is expected to provide structured platforms for young people to engage in sports, while promoting discipline, teamwork and healthy lifestyles.

Observers say the MP’s recent interventions underscore a combination of social support and youth development efforts in Ablekuma North, as residents prepare to celebrate the festive season and look ahead to the New Year.
