The Agyeman-Rawlings family has formally announced the programme for the final funeral rites of former First Lady, Her Excellency Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, scheduled for Friday, November 28, 2025, at Independence Square in Accra.n
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the family—together with Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene; the Aboatia Abusua of Mpobi; the Dwirafiesohene; the Dwirafieso Abusua of Antoa; and all allied Agyeman and Agyeman-Rawlings families—expressed profound appreciation to the public for the “outpouring of sympathy” since her passing.

According to the statement, Oheneba Akwasi Abayie, Otumfuo Akomforehene, conveyed the funeral arrangements as follows:
The funeral proceedings will begin at 6:00 a.m. with the arrival of the cortege at Independence Square.
Black attire has been prescribed for the ceremony. The family emphasised that there will be no official funeral cloth.
The ceremony is open to the general public, with security and protocol teams on hand to guide mourners to their seats.

Friday’s ceremony constitutes the final funeral rites, and no additional ceremonies will be held elsewhere after the burial service concludes at Independence Square.
The family appealed to all mourners to arrive early and comply with the instructions of security and protocol officers to ensure an orderly and dignified event.
