President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has nominated his final batch ministers comprising four persons for appointment as Deputy Ministers.
A statement issued by Minister of State in Charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Kwakye Ofosu,dated July 9, 2025, said the nomination constitute the “last batch of Deputy Minister” nominations by the President.
The individuals include; Dorcas Afo-Toffey, Member of Parliament (MP) for Jomoro for the position of Deputy Minister of Transport, James Gyakye Quayson, MP for Assin North as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohammed Adam Sukparu (MP) for Sissala West for the position of Deputy Minister of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations and Grace Ayensu-Danquah (MP) for Essikado-Ketan as Deputy Minister of Health.
According to the statement, the nominations were done by the President in accordance with Articles 78 (1) and 79(1) of the Constitution and that their names have been submitted to Parliament through the Speaker for prior approval to serve as Deputy Ministers.
