Chief Director of Energy and Green Transition Ministry lauds inclusive dialogue on clean cooking

The Chief Director of the Ministry of Energy and Green Transition, Wilhelmina Asamoah has underscored the importance inclusive participation of all stakeholders in addressing clean cooking challenges at the local levels.

Addresing participants at a two-day National Clean Cooking Policy and Strategy Workshop, the Chief Director mentioned open dialogue, knowledge sharing and strategic collaboration as key ingredients towards ensuring inclusiveness.

“This workshop provides a platform for open dialogue, knowledge sharing, and strategic collaboration over the next two days,” she said.

She noted that this engagement is the first of three planned regional workshops, gathering insights from representatives across Ghana’s southern, middle, and northern regions.

Madam Wilhemina Asamoah expressed appreciation to the World Bank for its ongoing support of Ghana’s clean cooking agenda, and acknowledged its critical role in advancing key policy initiatives.

Participants were encouraged to work collectively towards a cleaner and more sustainable future.

Minister of Energy and Green Transition, John Abdulai Jinapor oponned the to tackle public health concerns and environmental degradation.
