President John Dramani Mahama has nominated the Member of Parliament for Nkoranza North, Emmauel Kwadwo Agyekum as a Minister of State in-charge of Special Initiatives.
When approved by Parliament, Mr Agyekm will be responsible for all Special Initiatives promised by president Mahama during the 2024 electioneering campaign.
Some of these special initiatives include the, the $10 Billion Big PUSH for infrastructure development, 24-hour economy policy, Edwuma Pa one million sustainable jobs among others.

Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum was born on 3 December 1973 in Nkoranza in the Bono East Region of Ghana.
He attended University of Westminster in London, UK where he obtained MA in Global Business and also obtained an IMBA at International Graduate Center.
The Nkoranza North lawmaker also attended the University of Applied Science in Bremen, Germany.
He was the former Deputy Minister of Local Government. Before contesting the seat as an MP, he was the MCE for Nkoranza South Municipality from January 2009 to January 2013.
He was the CEO of Special Care Recruitment Consultancy in London, UK.
Hon Emmanel Agyekum was a member of the Subsidiary Legislation Committee and also a member of the Works and Housing Committee.
