List of President Mahama’s Appointees to key State Agencies

President John Dramani Mahama has been making some key appointment of individuals to lead critical state-owned enterprises and public agencies in acting capacities since his swearing in as the number one gentleman of the land on January 7, 2025.

The appointments constitute president Mahama’s mandate to find suitable citizens to man these state institutions as his government takes shape to deliver his mandate to the Ghanaian people.

Most of the underlisted individuals have made the list so far as either Executive Secretary, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Managing Director (MD) and, Executive Director in an acting capacity pending final approval in accordance with provisions of the 1992 constitution and the respective legal instruments that established those bodies.

These individuals comes to the job with varied professional backgronds including legal practitioners, academia, extractive governance, communications among others to help the president in realising his vision of resetting the country.

Some of them are:

Wisdom Yayra Koku Deku – National Identification Authority (NIA)

Godwin Edudzi Tamakloe Esq. – National Petroleum Authority (NPA)

  1. Edward Bawa – Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC)
  2. Professor Nana Ama Klutse – Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
  3. Victoria Emefa Hardcastle Esq. – Petroleum Commission
  4. Afetsi Awoonor – Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company (BOST)
  5. Sammy Gyamfi Esq. – Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC)
  6. Justina Nelson – Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF)
  7. Mohammed Abdul Salam – National Lottery Authority (NLA)
  8. Dr Kwaku Asiedu Nketia – Deputy CEO, Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF)

The President is expected to make more appointments in the coming days.
