President Mahama Names John Jinapor As Energy Minister-designate

President of the repblic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has named Yapei-Kusawgu Member of Parliament, John Abdulai Jinapor as Energy minister- designate.

Mr Jinapor who has been the spokesperson of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Minority caucus in the just ended 8th Parliament faces an arduous task of finding soltions to the myriad of challenges facing the country’s energy sector when approved by parliament.

The appointment which was contained in a statement issued by the presidency also named current Majority leader and MP for Ejumako Enyan Essiam, Dr Cassiel Ato Baah Forson as the Finance Minister- Designate and Bolgatanga East MP, Dr Dominic Akuritinga Ayine as Attorney General and Minister for Justice designate.

The statement said President Mahama has submitted the ministerial nominations to the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, in accordance with Article 78 of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana.
