President of the republic of Ghana-Elect, John Dramani Mahama has held a meeting with President Nana Addo Akufo Addo at the Jubilee for the first time in 8 years.
The meeting which was held on Wednesday December 11, 2024 discussed preparations towards the inauguration of the transition which is expected to be done at the International Conference Centre later in the day.
President Elect, John Mahama said the meeting was important as it ushers in the transition which he described as very crucial.
He said the venue for the transition reminds him of the 2017 transition where he handed over to President Akufo Addo.
On his part, President Akufo Addo assured the President elect of his fullest cooperation to ensure a smooth transition.
