The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has given an update about the ongoing voting exercise across the country.
Over 18 million registered voters across the country are voting to elect a president and 276 Members of Parliament for the next four years.
Speaking at the third briefing exercise of the electoral management body on election day, Director Training, Dr Serebour Quaicoe said all centres have recorded 50 percent turnout as at 2:00 pm.
According to him all the DVD devices were working effectively.
With the exception of Kintampo South constituency where the the Electoral Officer was caught in an unlawful conduct and arrested all others were behaving responsibly, Dr Serebour stated.
He also reported that the disability responsive measures the commission put in place were also working effectively.
Furthermore, Agents of the various candidates were cooperating effectively and expressed the hope that they continue till the end of the exercise.
The Electoral Commission also commended the Security services for being on top of their job satisfactorily so far.
He also urged media to continue giving the right information to the public.
