Ex Auditor General Yaw Domelevo Prays for Ghanaians to elect a FATHER as President on Saturday

Former Auditor General, Daniel Yaw Domelevo, has offered a heartwarming prayer as Ghanaians go to the polls on Saturday December 7, 2024 to elect a new President and Members of Parliament.

He encouraged Ghanaians to elect a person who would be a FATHER for all as the next leader for the country.

Using the letters F.A. T. H. E. R as an acronym to drive home his point, Mr Domelovo prayed for Ghanaians to chose a leader who would be:
Fair in his dealings, Accountable for his stewardship, Trustworthy, Honest, Equitable in his distribution of the national cake and be a leader who Respects the views and opinions of others (FATHER).

Mr Yaw Daniel Domelevo offered the prayers during a multi-stakeholder forum that discussed the role of the media in curbing illicit financial inflows through accountable governance under the auspices of the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) with support from the Thomson Reuters Foundation in Accra.

Among several other things, Mr Domelevo calls for an asset declaration regime that allows for verification of assets declared and their publication to prevent what he describes as anticipatory declaration.

He also proposed the urgent need for a effective and deficient Public Financial Management regime that guarantees fiscal responsiveness.
